Haiti Evaluation Trip

Wed. 6:15 AM - Port Au Prince, Haiti

Hey Everybody,

Things are going well on the trip - BUT I HAVE TO SAY...  this is a life changing experience.  Words cannot describe the devastation and what the people here in Port Au Prince have gone through.

It was an uneventful trip into Haiti but since we hit the ground it has been anything but uneventful.

Those that I have travelled with us are great and there is a great spirit  the group.

I will be speaking in church services this evening with Missionary Tom Franklin.  Please be in prayer for this time because I have never spoken with an interpreter.

I will plan (if the Internet connection is up) to get some pictures on here and let you know what is all happening.

Thanks for your prayers and come back later to get up to date again!

Wed. 10:55 PM - Port Au Prince, Haiti

Hey Everybody,

Get ready to see homes that were demolished yet have not been touched, the kitchen of one of the Pastors in ministry here, what used to be a tracker car -still sitting on the side of the road, our Missions Director Jon Konnerup standing overlooking a ministry church and the city of Haiti, one of the cuttest little girls at an orphanage (she is one that lost her parents in the earthquake) The house that she lives in with approx. 20 other kids and a couple adults - that has nothing in it but a couple cotts, and more.  This has been an incredible trip.

More picts to come tomorrow.  I can't show them all but you will see in these how many here "live".  Their "live" is our survival mode!

We have an incredible opportunity to care for those here and we will be looking to have a part very soon!

Thanks for your prayers and come back later to get up to date again!

The purpose of the trip was specifically to evaluate ministry structures.
There were many different obvious needs that
you will see in the pictures that follow.

In the coming months, plans will be made by the Baptist Bible Fellowship
to
rebuild, remove or repair

the buildings that have experienced changes due to the earthquake.

If you have questions regarding the rebuild haiti project call the
BBFI Missions office at 417-862-5001.
