BARNABAS TEAMS
Encourage Our Missionary Partners

The name "Barnabas," meaning "Son of Encouragement," comes from the biblical figure in Acts 9:27 and 11:22-26. Barnabas was a faithful partner in ministry to the apostle and missionary, Paul.

A Barnabas Team is a small group of people who come together to support a missionary’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The team provides a space for the missionary to be open, honest, and encouraged through both victories and challenges.

If you're a member of Park Crest and interested in serving on a Barnabas Team, join us for an interest meeting after the main worship service on March 30th in the Life Classroom.
"It is not a joke when I say I would not survive without the generosity of the people of Park Crest! There have been multiple instances in my short time on the mission field that the people of Park Crest gave right when I needed it most and when my ministry needed it most. From the kids in The Park giving the funds for a kids ministry project here in Nicaragua, to the Grow Groups who gave so that I could actually have a place to sleep, missions in Nicaragua continues to grow because Park Crest is a church that gives."

Tyler Carleton, Park Crest Missionary to Nicaragua

SURRENDERING

There are many countries and people groups who need to hear about Jesus, and we are praying that individuals and families in our church would surrender to make disciples of them.

“Missions at Park Crest definitely influenced mine and Sydney's decision to surrender as missionaries to Portugal. Going on trips overseas opened up my eyes to all that God is doing around the world and the need for the Gospel in communities where there are not many, if any, who believe it. Park Crest helped me understand missions, supported me when I went on trips, and is supporting us as we go to Portugal long-term. We are so grateful for Park Crest and their willingness to help those who surrender to go.”

Jacob Mulford, Park Crest Missionary to Portugal
