WHAT IS SALVATION?
SALVATION
The greatest gift ever given through the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. When the gift of salvation is received, it means that we move from being the object of God's wrath to being adopted as God's family.
WE ARE ALL SINNERS
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus"
Romans 3:23-24
WE EACH HAVE A SIN NATURE
"Therefore, just as though one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned"
Romans 5:12
THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Romans 6:23
IN OUR SIN, GOD DISPLAYED HIS LOVE FOR US
"But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8
GOD OFFERS US A GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS. WE CAN ACCEPT OR REJECT THAT FORGIVENESS
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation...For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.'"
Romans 10:9-10, 13
SALVATION IS BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH ALONE
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
